Third Day Pittsburgh Concert reviews
KFOG Kaboom is fun, but has some serious issues!
Seemed like attending this event was great family fun oriented, overall, but this venue has some serious issues. For one, Candlestick is windy and freezing, so be prepared. The second issue I have is that parking ($15 per vehicle) and beer ($8 for 12oz. tap) is overpriced. Another issue I have concerns the 'no smoking anywhere' policy. In defense of the policy, it's great to be in a smoke-free environment (if you're a non-smoker). That is until you go to the restrooms, just to find someone has fiendishly 'hot-boxed' the portable restrooms. Seemed almost every restroom reeked of either cigarettes/pot or both. So much for a family-oriented environment! Occasionally, conservative concert-goers would get offended if you accidentally stood in their view of the stage. These people don't really have a right to complain about people who stand to see the musician simply because they got there early and have a blanket laid out in some prime spot. So, if you're a smoker, like to drink beers on an affordable budget, or simply have kids and insist on sitting on a high-quality blanket, I would have serious concerns attending the event. However, the fireworks went great to the mediocre quasi-rock themed music. And as the event came to a close, they handed out nice Volkswagen bags to all who attended.
